Amanda Rocca

Amanda Rocca is a Graduate Electrical Engineer at the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA), contributing to the development of cutting-edge fusion energy technologies. She supports the design and development of the electrical infrastructure for STEP, the UK’s first prototype fusion power plant, which aims to demonstrate the viability of fusion as a commercial energy source. Amanda is also involved in commissioning high-power gyrotrons for integration with MAST-U, UKAEA’s operational spherical tokamak. She is passionate about applying innovative engineering solutions to overcome the challenges of fusion energy and help make it a practical, scalable, and sustainable power source for the future.
